1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using the services of Boxit Logistics and Storage ("we," "our," or "us"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Services Description
Boxit Logistics and Storage provides the following services:
- Home and office removals
- Furniture handling and assembly
- Local and long-distance moves
- Delivery and courier services
- Short-term storage solutions
- Commercial and business relocations
3. Booking and Quotations
All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. We reserve the right to:
- Modify quotations if circumstances change
- Refuse service if items are deemed unsafe or illegal
- Require additional insurance for high-value items
- Charge additional fees for services not included in the original quote
4. Payment Terms
Payment terms are as follows:
- Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed
- We accept cash, bank transfer, and major credit/debit cards
- Late payment charges may apply for overdue accounts
- All prices are quoted in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable
5. Insurance and Liability
We maintain comprehensive insurance coverage including:
- Public liability insurance
- Goods in transit insurance
- Professional indemnity insurance
Our liability is limited to the value of the goods being transported or £50,000, whichever is lower. Customers are advised to arrange additional insurance for high-value items.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information about items to be moved
- Ensuring access to both pickup and delivery locations
- Packing personal and fragile items appropriately
- Being present during the move or appointing an authorized representative
- Removing any items not to be moved before our arrival
- Providing parking arrangements where required
7. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation terms are as follows:
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the scheduled move
- 50% charge for cancellations within 24 hours
- Full charge for cancellations on the day of the move
- No charge for cancellations due to weather or circumstances beyond our control
8. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, or government actions.
9. Prohibited Items
We reserve the right to refuse to transport the following items:
- Hazardous materials and chemicals
- Perishable food items
- Live animals (except by special arrangement)
- Illegal items or contraband
- Items of excessive weight or size that cannot be safely transported
- Cash, jewelry, or other valuables (unless specifically insured)
10. Complaints and Disputes
We are committed to providing excellent service. If you have any complaints:
- Please contact us within 48 hours of service completion
- We will investigate all complaints promptly and fairly
- We aim to resolve all issues to your satisfaction
Any disputes will be governed by English law and subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
11. Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
